Unable to delete Word file in an Android Device

I am trying to delete a file but Word (android GalaxyNote5) is saying I do not have permission to delete

    1. You should write to Microsoft support regarding this question.
    2. When they give you no answer, read a page or two before on this thread.

    Here is what you need to do:

    1. In your apps menu, touch and hold on the app giving you the error.

    2. From the menu that appears, choose "App Info."

    3. Tap "Storage."

    4. Tap "Clear Data."

    5. Tap '"Ok."

    NOTE: Read in the previous messages what is does before you do.

    Hi,

    I have a similar problem. Only its much worse. (I am using the MS office app with the simplified version of word, excel, powerpoint, and lens - the all-in-one app) I "can delete the file", but the app is reimagining it for some reason no one can explain. So after you press delete the file is still there, but you cannot open it, because it is "deleted". It says the file is on my OneDrive, but when I am on OneDrive it is very clear that the file is not there, as I don't have any file in OneDrive. Anyone who knows what is wrong with the app?
