If you have not signed up for a subscription and you are sure no-one else has access to your banking details, this forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Most cases of being billed twice for Microsoft 365 fall into these patterns:

    1. Two separate subscriptions
      • There may be more than one active Microsoft 365 subscription (for example, one bought directly from Microsoft and another through a retailer such as Amazon, or two different plans like Microsoft 365 Family and Microsoft 365 Personal).
      • Each subscription is billed separately and can be tied to different payment methods or different Microsoft accounts.
    2. Multiple Microsoft accounts using the same card
      • It is common to have more than one Microsoft account (for example, one with an Outlook address and one with a Gmail address) using the same credit card.
      • Each account can have its own subscription, so charges appear twice on the same card even though they are for different accounts.
    3. Charges close together but not actually duplicates
      • If a payment fails (for example, insufficient funds), Microsoft keeps trying until it succeeds. A late catch‑up payment and the next on‑time payment can appear very close together on the statement, making it look like a duplicate even though they are for different billing periods.
    4. Separate billing sources
      • A subscription purchased through a third party (for example, Amazon) and another purchased directly from Microsoft will show as two different charges, even if they are for the same type of subscription.

To find out exactly why there are two charges:

    1. Review Microsoft order history
      • Sign in to the Microsoft account dashboard and review the order history to see all subscriptions and charges and check for multiple purchases for the same amount that appear close together.
    2. Investigate other accounts using the same card
      • Go to the Microsoft account Payment options page and select Investigate to search for other Microsoft accounts using the same card. This helps identify if a second account (for example, a family member’s account) has its own subscription.
    3. Use the billing charge troubleshooter
      • If a charge is not recognized, use the billing troubleshooter from the Microsoft support article on investigating billing charges to narrow down whether it is a subscription renewal, in‑app purchase, retry of a declined payment, or something else.
    4. If still unresolved, contact Microsoft Billing Support
      • If duplicate or unwanted subscriptions are confirmed, cancel the extra subscription and contact Billing Support to review and correct charges. Billing adjustments require secure tools that only the support team can use.
