Hello Microsoft Support Team,

My name is Sandesh and I am from <PII removed>. I had purchased Minecraft Java Edition with my savings and efforts. However, when I try to log in, it is still showing “Purchase Again” instead of letting me play.

I have proof of my purchase, and I kindly request your help to resolve this issue. Please guide me on how I can access the game I already bought.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Sandesh

Follow these steps to resolve the issue where Minecraft asks to “Purchase Again” even though it was already bought:

    1. Verify the purchase on the Microsoft account
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/orders and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to buy Minecraft.
      2. In Order history, confirm that the order for Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC appears as Completed and that the account shown there is the same one being used in the Minecraft Launcher.
    2. Make sure the correct account is used in the Minecraft Launcher
      1. Open the official Minecraft Launcher on PC.
      2. Sign out from the profile in the top-right corner.
      3. Sign back in using the same Microsoft account that shows the completed Minecraft order in Order history.
      4. After sign-in, check if the Play button appears instead of Buy.
    3. If the game still shows “Purchase Again”
      1. Confirm again in Order history that the order is not a pre-order and that it is completed.
      2. If the order is missing or shows problems, follow the Microsoft Store purchase troubleshooting path:
        • Check that the payment method is valid and there are no past-due subscriptions on the account.
        • Ensure antivirus or browser settings are not blocking Microsoft Store sign-in or purchase validation.
    4. Contact Microsoft Store or Minecraft support
      • If the order appears correctly in Order history but the launcher still asks to buy the game, contact Microsoft Store support for purchase issues and provide the order number and proof of purchase email.
      • For Minecraft-specific account linking or entitlement issues, contact Minecraft Support and share the same purchase details.

These teams can check the purchase status and help restore access to the game if the license is correctly associated with the Microsoft account.
