I really need some help cancelling a subscription. 2 years ago I paid to use thing such as word, PowerPoint etc( not sure what it's called). I wasn't aware that I had it on recurring billing so they payment keeps going on my credit card every year to renew and I just can't afford to keep paying it. The trouble is that I can't find the subscription on any of my accounts, I have a few and have checked them all. I cant fine anyway to get in touch with microsoft and I really need to get it cancelled as the payment has just been taken again.

Thank you

Please note that Microsoft Q&A is a user-to-user forum. We do not have access to accounts or billing systems. Please use the instructions in the following article to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

Then follow the instructions here to cancel your subscription:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription.

If it doesn’t work or you need further assistance, for your security and privacy, I recommend contacting Microsoft Billing Support directly, as this request involves personal or sensitive information that should not be shared in a public forum.

    Click this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/

Sign in to your Microsoft account.

Select Microsoft 365 > Click 'Get home support'.

Type "Chat with an agent" from the text field and press Enter.

Click "Contact support" at the bottom.

Select the product you need help with.

Follow the prompts to connect with a live agent or request a call back.

Follow these steps to cancel the recurring Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) subscription and stop future charges:

    1. Check all possible Microsoft accounts
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      • Sign out if already signed in, then sign in one-by-one with every email address ever used with Microsoft (personal, old, or secondary accounts).
      • For each account, look under Services & subscriptions for any Microsoft 365, OneDrive storage, or similar subscription.
    2. Cancel the subscription if you find it
      • When the subscription appears, select Manage.
      • If you see Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or Cancel), select it and follow the prompts to cancel.
      • If instead you see Turn on recurring billing, the subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not renew; no further action is needed.
    3. If you don’t see a cancel option
      • If the subscription was bought through a third party (for example, Apple App Store, Google Play, or a retailer like Best Buy or Amazon), it will not appear as cancellable in the Microsoft account.
      • In that case, cancellation and refunds must be handled through that third party’s billing/support, as described in the guidance.
    4. If the subscription still can’t be found on any account
      • It is likely associated with a different Microsoft account that cannot be identified, or the charge is coming from a third party.
      • The most direct way to stop further payments in that situation is to contact the bank or credit card provider and ask them to block or dispute the recurring Microsoft charge. This is specifically recommended when account access is not possible.
    5. If assistance from Microsoft is still needed
      • Use the guided support for subscriptions and billing if available, or Microsoft Billing Support, to review the charge and help locate the account, but be aware that for security reasons they will require proof of ownership.

For the charge that has “just been taken again,” once the subscription is cancelled (either via the Microsoft account, the third-party store, or the bank), future renewals will stop. Any refund eligibility depends on the subscription type, country, and timing relative to the renewal.
