Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Based on your description, the monthly subscription charge is active on a different account.

Kindly follow the guide on the official Microsoft website to investigate the details and locate the monthly charge from Microsoft at this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93

If you're able to find the transaction and if this happens to be a forgotten subscription renewal, you can check if it is eligible for a refund through this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472

You may also try contacting Microsoft Support for further assistance in tracking the charge:

    https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=S.HP.SmcContactUsLanding

Type "Billing Issue" > click "Get Help" > Scroll down to Sign in to Contact Support > Microsoft 365 and Office > Billing and Payment Updates > Confirm > Chat with a support agent in your web browser

If you and the Support Team are unable to find the transaction in all of your accounts, you'll need to contact your financial institution/bank directly to dispute it, and they may process a refund, as this would be considered a fraudulent charge.

You may also need to have your card blocked and request a new one.

Thank you for your understanding! Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

The subscription status and the charges need to be checked directly on the Microsoft account and then escalated to Billing Support, because forum and self-help tools cannot adjust charges.

Use these steps to investigate and then contact support:

    1. Confirm which subscription is being billed
      1. Go to the Subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services
      2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for Microsoft 365.
      3. Under Subscriptions, check:
        • Whether any Microsoft 365 subscription shows as Expired and the date it expired.
        • Whether there is another active subscription (for example, under a different plan or account) that might be generating the monthly charges.
    2. Check the actual charges and which account/card they belong to
      1. Go to the Manage your payments page from your Microsoft account dashboard (as described in the billing article) and locate the charges that match the amounts and dates on the bank statement.
      2. Use the Investigate option on that page to see why the charges were made and which subscription they are tied to.
      3. If the charges are tied to a forgotten or duplicate subscription, decide whether to cancel or change recurring billing for that subscription.
    3. Turn off recurring billing or cancel if needed
      • On the Subscriptions page, select Manage for the subscription that is still billing.
      • If recurring billing is on, either:
        • Turn recurring billing off so it stops at the expiry date, or
        • Cancel the subscription if the product is no longer needed and cancellation is available.
    4. Request a refund / dispute unexpected charges
      • After identifying the subscription and charges, follow the refund guidance in the refund article referenced in the context to see if the charges from 10/25 onward are eligible for a refund.
      • If the charges are not recognized or appear to be duplicate or fraudulent, use the Investigate flow on the Manage your payments page and then contact Microsoft Billing Support.
    5. Contact Microsoft Billing Support directly
      • For unresolved or disputed charges (such as being billed after an expiry date with no visible subscription), contact Microsoft Support using the billing/contact paths described in the Q&A references. Billing agents have access to secure tools to:
        • Verify which subscription and account are being billed.
        • Correct billing profile issues.
        • Review and process refunds where policy allows.

If the charges cannot be matched to any Microsoft account or subscription after following the investigation steps, contact the bank or card issuer to dispute the charges as potentially unauthorized, as suggested in the Q&A guidance.
