    Hi @ASAP Appliance,

For security and privacy reasons, subscriptions and billing plans cannot be canceled directly through community forum. Changes to Microsoft 365 or Office subscriptions must be completed by the account’s Global or Billing Administrator.

If you are the account administrator, you can follow the steps here to cancel all active plans:

    • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Licenses, then selecting the license you want to cancel.

    • Choose Manage subscription details
      User's image
    • Under Subscription status > choose Cancel subscription

    • If you’re unable to cancel the subscription on your own, you can create a support request through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center by selecting Help & Support in the bottom‑right corner and following the guidance in Get support for Microsoft 365 for business.
    • Alternatively, you may contact Microsoft Support by phone using the numbers listed here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support. When calling, request to be connected to the Billing team, provide your admin details, and ask for assistance with canceling any active subscriptions.

Here are some tips and an example of a prompt to help you navigate the IVR more effectively:

(When you call the support number, you may hear an introduction of about 30 seconds such as "you can visit the link...". You can ignore this introduction and wait until you are presented with the options. Then press "1" as a business email user, and again "1" for technical help.)

In some countries, it is an automated conversation like:

IVR: What kind of problem are you concerned about?

    You: Cancel subscription.

IVR: What kind of product do you use?

    You: Office 365 for business.

IVR confirmation: education or company account?

    You: For companies

    IVR: Are you an administrator?

    You: Yes.

IVR: Do you have another administrator in your organization?

    You: No.

IVR: Do you need a... Service request?

You: Yes. I need to create a ticket. Please send me direct to the Billing Team.

If you are not the administrator, you can contact the Global or Billing Admin for your organization and ask them to cancel the subscriptions on your behalf.

I hope these steps help improve the situation. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m happy to continue supporting you and look forward to your update.

To cancel Microsoft 365 and other consumer subscriptions on an account, use the self-service cancellation options; cancellation cannot be performed here.

    1. Go to the Microsoft account services page: account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Sign in with the account whose plans need to be canceled.
    3. Under Services & subscriptions, locate each active subscription (for example, Microsoft 365, Xbox Game Pass, OneDrive storage).
    4. For each subscription:
      • Select Manage.
      • If recurring billing is on, choose Cancel subscription or turn off recurring billing, and follow the prompts until confirmation.
      • If the page shows Turn on recurring billing instead of Manage, the subscription is already set to expire on the listed date and will not renew.
    5. If a subscription was purchased through a third party (such as Apple, Google, or a retailer), follow that provider’s billing/support process as described in the Microsoft guidance.

Canceling subscriptions does not delete the Microsoft account itself; the account and email addresses remain. Access to subscription benefits continues until the end of the current billing period, so important data (for example, OneDrive files or Outlook email) should be backed up before the subscriptions end.

For business or enterprise Azure or other cloud subscriptions, cancellation must be done by the appropriate admin in the relevant portal (for example, Azure portal or Partner Center) following that service’s cancellation steps.
