I am being billed annually by Microsoft for 365 but my account keeps showing "expired". Cannot find how to actually contact billing to find out the problem. May be a multiple email address problem. Can someone advise how to email a human in Microsoft ?

This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment was for and get a refund (if required).

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Use two parallel tracks: verify the subscription status, then contact Microsoft billing/support through the official channels.

    1. Verify which account actually has the active subscription
      1. Go to the Microsoft account Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      2. Sign out first, then sign in one-by-one with each personal Microsoft email address that might have been used to buy Microsoft 365.
      3. Under the Microsoft 365 heading, check:
        • Whether it shows an active subscription or “Expires on [date]” or “Has recurring billing”.
        • If one account shows “expired” and another shows “active”, the apps may be signed into the wrong account.
      4. If the subscription is expired on all accounts, follow the renewal steps in the page linked from the subscription entry.
    2. If the subscription is active but Office apps say “expired”
      1. Close all Office apps.
      2. Confirm the subscription is active on the Subscriptions page as above.
      3. Restart an Office app and make sure it is signed in with the same Microsoft account that shows the active subscription.
      4. If the yellow “Account Notice” or subscription warning still appears after confirming the subscription and payment details, proceed to contact support.
    3. Contact Microsoft billing/support (to reach a human) For home/personal Microsoft 365 billing issues, use the official support entry points; these routes lead to chat or callback with an agent:
      • General Microsoft 365/Office support options:
        1. Go to the Contact Microsoft Office Support page: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2135368.
        2. Choose Microsoft 365 for home.
        3. Follow the prompts to describe the billing problem and select Contact support.
        4. Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback option if offered.
      • Alternative route via general Microsoft Support:
        1. Go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/.
        2. Sign in with the Microsoft account used for the subscription.
        3. Select the product (Microsoft 365 / Office).
        4. Choose a billing-related category such as “Billing and payment updates” or “Manage my subscription”.
        5. Confirm and then select Chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback option.
These channels connect to human billing/support agents who can:
      • Check which email address actually owns the active subscription.
      • Investigate why charges are occurring while the account shows expired.
      • Correct account linkage issues or advise on refunds/adjustments if applicable.

If Microsoft 365 is provided by work or school rather than purchased personally, contact the organization’s Microsoft 365 administrator or IT/help desk to review the subscription and account status.
