Hi,

Sending mail from my own email server (a Cloud Server) to 365 hosted email accounts is suddenly refused this week. We followed all the steps 100 times (as described) but the e-mail is still refused with the message:

550 5.7.511 Access denied, banned sender[x.y.z.205]. To request removal from this list please forward this message to delist@messaging.microsoft.com. For more information please go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=526653. AS(XXXX) [XXXXXXXXXXXX068.eop-NAM04.prod.protection.outlook.com] (in reply to RCPT TO command))

And we also tried the following two alternative methods 100 times each according to other Microsoft online documentation.

  1. sender.office.com
  2. Use the Microsoft delist portal to remove from the blocked senders list.

The server is not listed on a blacklist (mxtoolbox check) and it is usual sending to Google hosted custom domains and other systems.

How can I delist my ip-address? And is it possible to see for what reason the ban is?

It's now day three with this problem and I want to know how to fix this. My clients are very unhappy.

Another Microsoft representative pointed me to post it to this community, I hopes it can be solved asap.

Hi Guys, we have the same problem from Frankfrut, DE using Linode. Our IP was 139.162.x.y and we also changed our IP address to 172.104.x.y. We still have this problem and our clients are very angry. I created several tickets for MS asking to delist our domain and IP address. No response at all. I tried to call technical support but because I don't have an Outlook Business subscription they are not helping me.
So is there any way to solve this problem? Do I need to change my Cloud Provider to something else?

Good news for my company. Our IP address is unblocked two days ago. This is miracle!

Guys, write and write again to your support. Show link to this thread in the tickets. Have a luck with unblocking!

Same issue here, Linode server in Sydney.

Have spent lots of time spent going through Microsoft de-listing portals, SNDS, etc., all with no luck. Microsoft support seem unaware of any reason why it should be blocked, yet it is.

The only thing I've found is that the entire Linode IP address space is being flagged by https://www.uceprotect.net/. They are apparently deliberately penalising the entire Linode IP address space for the failure of the provider to deal with bad actors. They say "complain to your provider (Linode)", or pay them CHM$25 per month to subscribe to a whitelist to avoid the problem. Um, this seems to be extortion!

My suspicion is that Microsoft is, somewhere, subscribing to this particular blocklist and we are now subject to it's highly dubious business practices. Sigh.

I guess I'll go complain to Linode, in addition to sending yet another plaintive email to Microsoft support. Sad.

    Hi All

Same issue here! Server is in Frankfurt.

Linode offered a new ip and that solved the initial bounce, "dsn=5.7.511, status=bounced"

But only a few minutes after the new ip was activated I got a different bounce sending to Hotmail, "dsn=5.7.1, status=bounced"

I plan trying out a Linode alternative until this bounce issue is sorted out.

Can anybody suggest a Linode alternative?

    Thanks

    Thomas S
