Microsoft Sustainability Manager lets you review and fix errors in data imports. These error reports are available for all three import types:

The Data imports page provides details about the following items:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Mapping status
  • Whether it's ready to be imported
  • Status of the import, such as Scheduled, Processing, Complete, or Succeeded, Complete (check duplicates), Completed with errors, Failed, or Error
  • Refresh details
  • Data definitions of all the entities in the import
  • Import owner and the owner of the mapping

Sustainability Manager also lets you download the error file. You can download an error report in Excel that contains all the records that didn't import. Each record includes an error message that explains the cause of the error. The error report is available on the Imports page and provides details for the most recent import refresh. You can use this report to review all the records that require corrections, make changes, and reimport the data. When multiple entities are included within the same import, an error file for each entity generates separately.

All import statuses except Complete generate an error report. The following image shows a sample error report in Excel. Each report contains all the records that you need to correct, along with an error message for each that explains the error's cause.

You can also download the error report directly from the Data imports page under Refresh status.

To fix import refresh errors, follow these steps:

  1. Find the connection that has a status of Failed, Errors, or Completed with Errors.

A page opens that provides details, including the connection type, emissions source, and last and next refresh. It also shows the total number of records, inserted records, and invalid records.

  2. Select the connection refresh at the bottom of the page that contains errors. The error message includes more details about why the connection failed. It also provides the option to download the error report from the connection refresh details and from the top navigation pane.
