    Hello Ville,

    Thanks for the update.

Have you tried in a different or private browser?

->Do you have any other authentication methods like phone or SMS at this sign in window? If so, you can make these the default and remove the authenticator app.

Regarding removing all authenticators, this may need to disable security defaults in Entra admin portal. However, this is highly not recommended. Once disabled, you will only login with the password. To disable security defaults in your directory:

    1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as at least a Security Administrator.
    2. Browse to Identity > Overview > Properties.
    3. Select Manage security defaults.
    4. Set Security defaults to Disabled (not recommended).
    5. Select Save.

    Looking forward to your response.

I am using Edge as my browser and now also trying Firefox. I've tried everything to log in to my account Microsoft Excel 365 but they are asking me for a two-step login and I only have one. What to do?

I try to remove Microsoft Authenticator from this page:

    https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info

But I keep getting this error:

There was a problem removing the authentication method.

Could this be because you have a method selected as the default? If so, when you try to remove it, it gives you an error. If you change the selected method to phone, for example, and then try again with the one you want to delete, it deletes it correctly. I can't attach a screenshot, but I hope it's clear.

Anyway, I think I'm stuck at the same point. In this case, I want to access the Azure page and it asks for two-factor authentication. If I clear the browser cache, I receive the notification, and after authorizing, it asks me to accept access a second time, but this time the notification doesn't arrive in the Authenticator app and it doesn't let me select other authentication methods like phone call or others. Any ideas?
