Certification Issue

Question

I am trying to change my email address. I already had an outlook email and created a new one and associated it with Microsoft Learn. When I scheduled my certification, I used the new one in all the forms, but for some reason the certification I just earned is now associated with the OLD email / MS Learn account.

Is there any way to merge them or move the certification to the new one?

Certifications cannot be moved from one Learn profile to another, but profiles can sometimes be merged so that all certifications appear under a single profile.

Key points from current behavior and guidance:

1. It is not possible to transfer certifications between separate Learn profiles or recover certifications from a profile that is no longer accessible.
2. You can, however, add login accounts to a single Learn profile and trigger a profile merge when the same login is associated with more than one profile.
3. When Learn profiles are merged, all learning progress and certification data from both profiles are combined into one profile, and you can continue signing in with all associated login accounts.
4. A merge cannot be undone, and only one personal Microsoft account (MSA) can be associated with a Learn profile.

To consolidate as much as possible under the preferred (new) email:

1. Sign in to Microsoft Learn with the profile you want to keep as primary (your new Outlook email, if that is to be the main one).
2. Go to Settings → Account Management → Add login account.
3. Add the login that is currently associated with the old Learn profile.
4. If that login is tied to a different Learn profile, this will trigger a profile merge. After the merge completes, certifications and learning progress from the old profile will be combined into the signed‑in profile.

If the old profile is tied to a work/school account that is no longer accessible, or if a merge cannot be completed for your specific account setup, the certification cannot be moved and will remain with the profile where it was earned.
