Dear All,

We have applied Information protection labeling on all the users with default label as "Public". Seems the encryption, content marking are working fine. But somehow users are seeing double classification like below when they send email from mobile device to desktop app (Using Outlook). Any idea on why this is happening please

    Hi @karthik palani ,

I tested with iOS and my colleague tested with Android, and neither of us were able to reproduce this issue. Are you facing the problem for all labels or just some? We tested with the Public label and with several others, but didn't have this problem.

If the user is using an older version of Android, we've had a number of bugs in the past when users were using versions of both iOS and Android. The unified labeling client is also in maintenance mode so it has limited supportability. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/security-compliance-and-identity/announcing-aip-unified-labeling-client-maintenance-mode-and/ba-p/3043613

Also, the message may render differently depending on whether they meet the supported scenarios in this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/azure/information-protection/secure-collaboration-documents#supported-scenarios-for-opening-protected-documents

If they haven't done so already, I would confirm that the user has the latest Android version installed (or at least, 16.0.13029 and higher). When I hear back from the product team I'll also let you know if they have any insight into other variables that could cause the issue you are seeing.
