Issues Accessing OneDrive through Microsoft Teams

Howdy,

Occasionally we have end-users run into an issue where they are unable to connect to OneDrive through the files tab in Microsoft Teams. Users will launch teams -> click the files tab -> select OneDrive -> run into the following error ->

The users will run into this issue in both the desktop app and the browser version of Microsoft Teams at the same time. Users continue to experience the error after clearing the Teams desktop cache or the browser cache. However, while the error persists all users are able to access OneDrive directly, so it does not appear to be an issue with OneDrive access.

The issue seems to only occur for a few days and then it resolves itself. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue in their organization and if anyone has any ideas on what might be triggering it?

    Based on my experience, there are many reasons for this problem. Therefore, when encountering this issue, it is recommended to consider the following aspects to see if it is suitable for your environment:

    • Network issue. Please check if you have enough network bandwidth and change another network connections.
    • Application issues. This may include cleaning caches, checking for updates, or checking the GPU consumption of various applications and processes.
    • Incorrect or corrupted login credentials. OneDrive is unique per Microsoft account.
    • A temporary back-end issue. Usually, we can wait a few days and try again.
