Azure VPN client drops connection to MongoDB

I'm running an Azure hosted VM with MongoDB installed. User is connecting to Azure via P2S Azure VPN client. On a reboot, access to the DB works initially but after a few minutes response slows and then the DB becomes unavailable. Disconnecting from VPN and reconnecting doesn't work until a reboot of the user's machine occurs then wash, rinse, repeat. No NSG's in place, no access restrictions, server is pingable. Sometimes the same thing happens with file shares on an Azure VM. Any ideas on why the VPN prevents data traffic?

Request you to share the below details for further investigation of this issue:

Could you please let me know if this issue is happening on a single machine or multiple machines?

If happening on a single machine, could you try with a different machine and let me know if the issue persists?

Also, does it happen on any specific network? Did you try checking on different networks such as wi-fi or mobile networks?

Are you able to access other Azure resources via the P2S VPN connection when the DB becomes unavailable? Or you lose complete access to Azure?

Thanks for responding.

Issue is on a single machine, other machines work fine but we've had this issue before and had to completely wipe/reinstall Windows

Network matters not, if connected to the Azure point-to-site, issue persists

Resources can be pinged but not accessed for example a file server can be pinged but the file share isn't accessible
