How to add Work Email in AAD?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a possibility to full up the "work email" field for a AAD User. I need this field to be able to create alerts for users in SharePoint Online. I'm able to fill up the field in the OLD SharePoint User Profile feature but it's very complicated. I would be much easier to fill it up when we create new users in AAD.

I thought AAD has the same user profile fields as SharePoint but it still seems very different. Please help. Thanks! :)

Hi @Wenzel Conny ,

According to my research and testing, the Email attribute field in AAD corresponds to the work email field in the SPO user profile. When you fill in the Email in AAD, the system will automatically synchronize the value to the SPO user profile, and finally display it in the SharePoint site.

Note: Synchronization is performed by the system, and the required time generally ranges from a few minutes to 24 hours.
