We have Virtual Machine having Windows 10 22H2. We require to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 inside a Virtual Machine.

Your best bet would be to create a new Virtual Machine using a fresh Marketplace image for Windows 11, that's optimized with the correct configuration settings.

However if you do want to upgrade that VM, the workaround is to download the VHD into Hyper-V on your device and do the upgrade then reupload it back.

You could try unattended upgrade options using the ISO etc but it will be unsupported.

    Hello @Madhusoodhan Gopal

As of now, Azure does not support an in-place upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. However, you can create a new virtual machine running Windows 11 and migrate your data and applications from the old virtual machine to the new one as suggested by Luke Murraynz.
