Promoted Links Dialog to Promoted Links Page

I'm working on a SharePoint 2013 site that was getting too many promoted links on the Home page, so I wanted to group them. Rather than clicking a promoted link and navigating to a different page with related promoted links, I'd like open a dialog that displays the linked page, kind of like how icons can be grouped on a cellphone. To test this I created a new page and added a promoted links web part, then changed the home-page link to open that page as a dialog. Instead of displaying the linked page, I get a dialog box saying that an unexpected error occurred. Does anyone know if there is a simple no-code way to do this?

    Hi @Ben-3272 ,

Per my test, I could reproduce your issue on my end. This issue will happened if you are using a wiki page in the Promoted Links.

It is by design that a wiki page cannot be displayed in a dialog, so if you set the behavior to Dialog for a wiki page in the Promoted Links. You will get the unexpected error.

As a workaround, you could use web part page as Promoted Links Page. Here is a similar issue for your reference:
