SharePoint 2019 network drive links - How to get link to open in File Explorer?

I created a File Share Content Source. The network source is crawled. i am able to search. However, when i try to open the file, nothing happens, if I tell the link to open in a new tab we get: about:blank#blocked

If I copy the clink and paste into a new tab, PDFs are presented. Excel and Word documents autodownload.

How do i get the search in SharePoint 2019 to open the link in file explore not a browser?

Hi @ChrisEaker,

This is default behavior in SharePoint 2019. You need to configure Office Online Server for SharePoint Server 2019 if you want to open the file directly in the browser via a click in search result instead of downloading. By the way, it is impossible to open the link in file explore as per my knowledge.
