Hello boffins, hope somebody can help me.

Im trying to do an update on my drone via my pc.

However I have a deeper problem with the COM PORT that needs attention.

I get this message when i open Communications Ports Properties in Display Manager:

'Windows cannot determine the settings for this device. Consult the documentation that came with this device and use the Resource tab to set the configuration. (Code 34)'

I've tried the following: Updating windows, checking for driver updates, uninstalling the com port, reinstalling it, uninstalling and reinstalling the USB root hubs (there are 2), lots of restarts.

Can anyone help me? I'm kind of led to believe that each device you plug in has a different com port. But this com port4 is always there, although its visible when the drone is plugged in or not. I do have a USB mouse plugged in all the time. Should'nt there be 2 ports showing when i have the drone plugged in?

Thanks in advance :)

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Yes, each device can have a different COM port. Perhaps COM Port4 is a virtual COM port or a persistent assignment.

Hence you are not able to see it.

Please kindly reinstall the device in Device Manager, reboot your computer and see if the error persists.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou
