I am using an Azure lab through a university. In Hyper-V the Windows Server 2019 shuts down because of limited memory and Kali will not open. How do I either increase the memory or remove items that are taking up the memory?

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To increase the memory allocation, please kindky follow below steps:

1.Stop the VM and resize the Hyper-V VM, go to VM Settings, Memory tab, and increase the amount of RAM allocated to the VM. Later restart the VM again to apply the changes.

2.Meanwhile you can check and disabe unnecessary service to optimize Memory Usage.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.
