    Hello @Gokul Kandasamy

    Thanks for using Q & A forum.

I faced the same issue last week can't use RDP on the new VM.

I deleted the VM (public ip and nic). I created the new VM from the scratch again and the deployment finished I was able to connect via RDP. Maybe this was just a hick-up during the first deployment.

    Troubleshooting Steps.

    1. Cannot connect remotely to a VM because RDP port is not enabled in NSG
    2. Troubleshoot an RDP general error in Azure VM

    Hi Gokul Kandasamy,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

Thank you, SUNOJ KUMAR YELURU, for sharing your experience. Here are additional steps to try:

Make sure that RDP is enabled in the VM's operating system by accessing the VM via Serial Console or Azure Bastion. Check if Allow Remote Connections is enabled in the system settings and confirm that the RDP service is running.

Verify the public IP address or DNS name being used for the RDP connection matches the VM’s configuration in the Azure portal.

Reset the RDP configuration via the Azure portal by navigating to VM > Operations > Reset password and selecting Reset configuration only.

Check the Boot Diagnostics in Azure for any errors that might indicate the VM is not starting properly.

If available, use Azure Bastion to connect to the VM directly and rule out network-level issues.

Ensure the free-tier account limits are not exceeded, which can sometimes cause deployment inconsistencies.
