Hi @William Adkins ,
Which version of Windows operating system are you running?
According to your description, I tested it on two computers both with Microsoft® Excel® for Microsoft 365 MSO (16.0.14026.20202) 64-bit(the latest version of Office currently) installed. The difference between them is the Windows operating system version.
And I reproduced this issue on Version 20H2(OS Build 19042.804). However, it worked fine on Version 1909(OS Build 18363.1500).
Please try the following to check whether they are helpful.
- Please navigate to C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART, if there are folders/files in it, please backup and move them to another location to have a check.
- Save and close all Excel files, open Excel, go to File>Options>Advanced to check Disable hardware graphics acceleration and Ignore other application that use DDE to see if this helps.
Per my test, it is strangely that the bar chart seems to need a little buffer time to update the data when there are a line and bar chart, but when I inserted a new Column chart (my workbook had three charts at this time), this issue was resolved
Besides, it worked fine after changing Bar chart to 3-D Bar chart.
Hope the information could be helpful to you.
