Hello,
Migrating task sequence from sccm 2010 to mecm 2107 using migration tool and latest MDT is installed mecm 2107.
error is below migmctrl.log:
WARNING: [Worker]: The following actions in task sequence RIC00DAB are not standard in Configration Manager 2012: BDD_UsePackage,BDD_Gather,BDD_Validate. Import into the destination site may fail. Is an extension installed, such as the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)?
Entity tasksequncename with path SMS_TaskSequencePackage.PackageID='RIC00DAB' failed with: Invalid Task Sequence XML for Task Sequence Package

and in migration job failed message showing:
The Task Sequence XML is invalid .The task sequence may contains steps from an extension, such as the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit(MDT),which is not present at destination.

wants to know extract reason for this and how to resolved this so that the Task sequence migrated without any issue on new site.

thanks
Richkm

    Hi, @Richkm
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

It seems it's an old issue that SCCM can not migrate the task sequence that contains steps from MDT.

We can use the export and import as a workaround:

    1. Export the TS from the source hierarchy using the "right-click/export" option. Just the TS itself, not the related packages
    2. Import the TS into the destination hierarchy
    3. For some reason all packages will be detected and re-attach except the "Setup Windows and ConfigMgr" action, so browse to that and update it
