Our 365 accounts are 365 Business Standard with Defender for 365 We use Microsoft Outlook for all 365/Exchange email/etc. functions We do not (typically -- some exceptions) use OneDrive - its storage limits are too limiting and had a lot of prior history with Dropbox so we haven't switched We are going to do clean installs of Windows 11 on freshly formatted drives -- no upgrades ontop of older versions Is it possible to -- and how do I go about -- setting up Windows 11 Pro to log in with a 365 account instead of a "consumer"/home/individual/personal Microsoft account? Is this even possible? We never figured out how to do it on Windows 10 either. No domain binding required here, we just prefer to use our 365 accounts to login.

This is possible through Azure AD Join. Here's a guide https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/join-your-work-device-to-your-work-or-school-network-ef4d6adb-5095-4e51-829e-5457430f3973 It's for Windows 10 but it's also applicable to Windows 11.

Your Microsoft Account is not your Business Office 365 account, they are two completely different accounts.

I have the same need. We have a .onmicrosoft.com address for all of our users from our Microsoft 365 Business licenses that we want to use for signing into Windows 10 and 11 computers owned by the company. At present users sign on with either local or personal Microsoft accounts, which is a problem to manage. I don't believe the proposed solution to use Azure AD Join because the first bullet point in the link as I'm reading describes using your personal account to join/access your work or school account. We are 6 employees of a franchisee but soon to be 10 and I cannot have franchise owned Windows computers signing on with personal accounts. The franchisor provides us and all other franchisees users email addresses from their managed (well known) domain so we cannot use those. Like you, I just want my users signing on with their .onmicrosoft accounts.

To be able to log in with M365 account (work or school) the Windows version needs to be Pro. Home versions doesn't allow that.

I find strange and confusing that a Microsoft Account and a M365 Account (work or school) are different. It's very confusing for our users... when Windows asks for a Microsoft account, and they enter their M365 credentials, Windows says that the account doesn't exists..

This Answer was very easy to follow allowing me to Connect my business account with easy. I am running Windows 11 and as stated, it worked exactly as stated.

I understand. But when I log into my corporate laptop I am not using a personal Microsoft amount, I’m using my enterprise 365 account. Why on my small office systems can I not do the same using our 365 accounts?
