Tech-Ed Atlanta presentations available online

Didn't make it to Tech-Ed North America 2011 last week?  Or maybe you did but didn't make it to all the talks you wanted to?  Well, no worries because many of the presentations are now available to watch online, or download to your choice of device to view later.

Here are a couple talks presented by some familiar names you've seen post to this blog:

  • Managing Microsoft Office in an Interoperable and Multi-Device World
    Speakers: Yoni Kirsh, Jeremy Chapman
    Microsoft Office management is becoming more complex as organizations consider management for their on-premise/hybrid/cloud and multi-platform Windows/Mac OS X solutions. All devices are not created equal, with various degrees of manageability/security through traditional tools. We dive into Office management and security solutions across these topic areas.
  • Zero to Hero in 75 minutes: Building a Fully Functioning Deployment Environment for Free
    Speakers: Brian Shiers, Richard Smith
    This session shows an Office 2003 and Windows XP machine migration to Office 2010 and Windows 7 in less than 75 minutes. The session features a free VHD kit that gives IT a deployment server with all the tools to do basic app and file compat discover, using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) to customize the image for Office 2010 and Windows 7 installs including GPO, language packs, and a virtualized Office 2010 package, finally pushing that image to the machine with light-touch methods while also migrating user data and settings. This session also looks at the challenges facing typical desktop deployment and provides best practices and tips.
  • Deploying Microsoft Office Professional Plus Subscription
    Speaker: Brian Shiers
    With Microsoft Office 365, customers now have at the ability to buy Office as a subscription service. Office Professional Plus includes unique subscription activation technology, and this session discusses important deployment considerations for business of all sizes.
