BizTalk 2009 supported upgrade paths
Folks, I've actually received a whole swag of questions around the paths that we currently support for upgrade to 2009. This table provides a good overview of the supported paths (Note, we still do not support a direct 2004 to 2009 Upgrade. As and when we publicly release a guidance on that, I'll update my blogs):
BizTalk Server 2006/R2 |
BizTalk Server 2009 Evaluation Edition |
BizTalk Server 2009 Branch Edition |
BizTalk Server 2009 Developer Edition |
BizTalk Server 2009 Standard Edition |

Currently we will be using the Standard version of BizTalk, can this be upgraded to the Enterprise version if there becomes a need? Many thanks Tony Moore tony@ascendancyfx.comAnonymous

SKU upgrade from Standard (STD) to Enterprise (ENT) Edition BizTalk is a pretty straight-forward upgrade which will remove the SKU limitations of the STD edition (e.g. 5 Applications, etc).Anonymous

Can someone PLEASE tell me where exactly or what product to download to upgrade from the evaluation version to the enterprise edition? I cannot seem to find this on the MSDN site Any evaluation product should have an option built in to upgrade or register it. The documentation on how to upgrade from HIS 2009 evaluation to Enterprise is lacking, cryptic and utterly unacceptable.Anonymous
