abstract member OnRowUpdating : System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewUpdateEventArgs -> unit
override this.OnRowUpdating : System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewUpdateEventArgs -> unit
Protected Overridable Sub OnRowUpdating (e As GridViewUpdateEventArgs)
A GridViewUpdateEventArgs that contains event data.
There is no handler for the RowUpdating event.
The RowUpdating event is raised when a row's Update button is clicked, but before the GridView control updates the row. This enables you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the update operation, whenever this event occurs.
Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Handling and Raising Events.
The OnRowUpdating method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.
When overriding OnRowUpdating(GridViewUpdateEventArgs) in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowUpdating(GridViewUpdateEventArgs) method so that registered delegates receive the event.
