Xbox Accessibility Program (XAP)
The Xbox Accessibility Program (XAP) is a limited pilot program as an optional resource for any game creators, whether they are developers, designers, or other. With XAP, game creators can partner with the Gaming Accessibility team at Xbox and the players with disabilities community to remove barriers in their games.
By opting into the program, some of the benefits include:
- Partnering with the players with disabilities community during game development.
- Potentially accessing accessibility hardware including the Xbox Adaptive Controller (XAC).
- Receiving documentation with curated resources.
- Meeting with the Gaming Accessibility team regularly to work on the accessibility of your game.
XAP is available to any game creator who is outside Xbox Game Studios. If you are interested in learning more about the program or joining it, please contact the gaming accessibility team at XAccess@microsoft.com.
