Remarks
When clients request content from the server using HTTP 1.0, the total connected players counter on both the server and publishing point levels may be incremented more than once for each client that connects to the server. This is a result of HTTP 1.0 being a connectionless protocol. As a result, the server does not maintain a persistent TCP control connection to the client. Each request from a client results in a new TCP connection to the server that cannot be associated with a specific client session. Because these requests may not be handled by the same thread, this can result in the peak and total connected counters being incremented more than once for a single request for content from a client.
