IMediaPosition.CurrentPosition

Microsoft DirectShow 9.0

IMediaPosition.CurrentPosition

  • Note   This topic is deprecated. It applies to Visual Basic 6.0. DirectShow is not supported for Visual Basic .NET or C#.

The CurrentPosition property sets or retrieves the playback position.

Syntax

  objMediaPosition
  .CurrentPosition As Double

Parameters

This property takes no parameters.

Return Values

Returns the current position, in seconds, relative to the start of the original source.

Remarks

If the graph is running, this property is equal to the current position of the stream, relative to the start of the source. If the graph is paused or stopped, this property is equal to the last position that was reached.

This property is read/write. If the stream is seekable, setting this property seeks the stream.

The position is calculated before the rate, so the position is relative to normal playback speed. For example, if you set the rate to twice normal speed and run the graph for 2 seconds, the CurrentPosition property is 4.0.

Requirements

Reference: Add a reference to ActiveMovie control type library.

Library: Quartz.dll.
