Methods

Method

Description

IXRRun::GetText

Retrieves the text contents of this run of text.

IXRRun::SetText

Sets the text contents of this run of text.

Thread Safety

Members of this class are thread-safe if you previously called IXRApplication::CreateHostFromXaml and supplied it with an XRWindowCreateParams structure that has AllowsMultipleThreadAccess set to true.

Remarks

The IXRRun and IXRLineBreak objects are the basic units of content for a text block. To format the text in a text block, you can create IXRRun objects and apply formatting to them by using its methods inherited from IXRTextElement. Add line breaks by introducing IXRLineBreak objects.

You can store IXRRun objects in an IXRInlineCollection object. You supply this collection object to the method IXRTextBlock::SetInlines to set text content for a text block.

When you create a class instance, use an IXRRunPtr smart pointer instead of a raw interface pointer. For more information, see XRPtr<Interface>.

You can also define a run element in Microsoft Silverlight 3 XAML. For information about the differences between XAML in XAML for Windows Embedded and Silverlight 3, see Differences Between Microsoft Silverlight 3 and XAML for Windows Embedded. For more information about how to define this element in the source XAML for your application, see the Run Class on MSDN.
