How to fix "ErrorCode=EncryptedExcelIsNotSupported"

Hi I´m Trying to make a pipeline with a copydata activity conected to a sharepoint as source with a Token: User's image

The main issue is that even if I have already add the permission in the sharepoint site and in the Azure Active Directory (app registration) it doesn't let me access to the excel file , the error says that the excel file has a password but I have already checked it out and it does not have a password or some security.

I need to access to that file to get the data,I have tried with .xlsx, .xlsb and .csv.

what can I do ?

Was the excel file encrypted? Could you please double check and let us know? Was this the first time you noticed this error? or was it working fine and all of sudden pipeline throwing the error for recent files?

From the error message my understanding is that issue is something specific to excel files in your sharepoint and would have to investigate more from excel file side. Could you please check if you were able to access any other files from the same sharepoint location?

I have noticed that a customer faced similar issue reading excel files and they workaroud the problem by converting excel files to csv and were able to access those file from ADF without issue. Kindly refer to this thread with similar problem: ErrorCode=EncryptedExcelIsNotSupported,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=Encrypted excel file

Please confirm.

I just heard back from the product team that the sensitivity settings of the file to be changed to general inorder to overcome the issue. Then the copy activity would work as expected.

For example change the sensitivity label of the file to general as shown below and save it.
