But I guess something is not what is should be with your machine, like some .NET class missing or something corrupted with .NET. I don't much idea how you would fix it. What operating system do you have? If you are acquainted with virtual machines, the best option be to create a VM and install SQL Server on the VM.

@Erland Sommarskog I am acquainted with VMs. I'll try this method and let you know. I'm also not sure why I'm getting this particular error. I have asked many people and so far they haven't seen anything like this. Furthermore, I asked a Senior Database Engineer and he had no clue of it.

Yeah. Of course, this is not an error message you see just because you are a DBA. If you would be in an organization with a support contract, you could open a case with Microsoft, but if the VM works for you, I think that is a better option.

Hey @Erland Sommarskog , I put the same lines from Log in chatgpt and it advised me to check WMI management and I just found this out. Can you check the screenshot and hopefully provide me a solution. I tried the VM method but my machine is currently too slow for it. Going back and forth while working would cause productivity issues and also a lot of lag was seen. If you know a solution regarding this WMI thing, can u please share it with me. I'm just guessing that I'm 1 step closer to being able to download SQL server once this resolves.

@Erland Sommarskog Thank you a lot for your help, I restarted the WMI services and it fixed my WMI repo and that's how I was able to solve the invalid_classes error. Now SQL server is finally downloading, if I encountered any other error again. I'll let you know. :D
