This article explains how to create a journal entry using the T-account format for Japan in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.
In Japan, the T-account format is commonly used to input journal entries.
The following procedure uses the JPMF demo company data.
To create a journal entry using the T-account format, follow these steps.
- In Dynamics 365 Finance, go to General ledger > Journal entries > General journals.
- Select New.
- In the Name field, enter a value.
- Select Lines.
- Select T-account (JP).
- In the list, mark the selected row.
- In the Date field, enter a date.
- In the Account field, enter a value.
- In the Description field, enter a value.
- In the Debit field, enter a number.
- In the Date field, enter a date.
- In the Account field, enter a value.
- In the Description field, enter a value.
- In the Credit field, enter a number.
- Select Save.
- Close the page.
- Select Post.
